 On Thursday, March 12, 2009, a sequence of events set in motion by operatives of the APC led to the cancellation of the Bye-Election in War 323 in Pujehun District earlier scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2009.

 Mindful that the state has the responsibility to maintain law and order throughout the country,

 Recognising that the IMC was created by Parliament to regulate the media in Sierra Leone;

 Recognising also the crucial role being played by SLAJ in the country’s media landscape

 Noting the general reaction of the public to the temporary suspension of the two political radio stations

The All People’s Congress United Kingdom/Northern Ireland Branch has declared its support for the action taken by the government of President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, to ban the two political radio stations.
