“This is the change we believe in and that’s why the people came out to say thank you to President Koroma for ensuring roads in Kissy would be tarred,” said Mr Amadu Bangura, the East District Chairman of the All People’s Congress.
President Ernest Bai Koroma commissioned yesterday March 4, the streets in the east end of Freetown that would be tarred. The huge crowd that welcome President Koroma from Texaco Junction Grassfield to the Kissy Police Barracks community were all chanting “tenki Papa” meaning thank you father.
Thirty streets would be tarred in Freetown and three of these in the east end of Freetown are Blackhall Road, Personage Street and Old Road. This appears a fulfillment of one of the election promises of President Ernest Koroma that he would construct the roads in the country.
